These works are conceived at the intersection of material reclamation and conceptual inquiry. Each piece is meticulously crafted from materials salvaged from environments where they were discarded within landfill, riverbanks, beaches, and ocean cleanup sites, transforming remnants of consumer culture into enduring forms of artistic expression.

These sculptures are realised within the framework of ´Makers Place´, a carbon-neutral recycling studio established by the artist in the Maldives. The facility employs innovative studio designed processes, including a closed-loop water filtration system utilising coconut charcoal and a VOC exhaust system to capture emissions during material transformation, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

By repurposing materials that once polluted natural landscapes, these works challenge perceptions of value and permanence, inviting reflection on the lifecycle of objects and the potential for renewal. Each sculpture stands as a testament to the possibility of material as a medium for critical dialogue and aesthetic exploration.
